About the Role:

As the Senior Accountant, you’ll be responsible for managing and executing core accounting functions to ensure financial accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency. Reporting directly to the VP of Finance, this role will oversee daily accounting operations, assist with audits, ensure adherence to GAAP, and support the organization’s financial health through meticulous analysis and reporting.


We’re seeking a detail-oriented candidate with broad general ledger experience who is eager to optimize accounting processes while maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to problem-solve and collaborate in a dynamic environment, with excellent communication skills.


What You’ll Do:


Financial Operations & Reporting

Prepare, analyze, and present accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP, including variance analyses. Oversee revenue and expense tracking. Develop, maintain, and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance.


Review Preparation & Compliance

Assist the VP of Finance with the annual review process, including preparing schedules and inquiry responses. Stay current with accounting standards, regulatory changes, and industry trends to ensure continued compliance.


Cash Flow Management

Oversee cash management and treasury functions. Assist in the development and execution of strategies to optimize financial resource utilization.


Process Improvement & Documentation

Participate in designing and documenting accounting processes and internal controls. Establish document organization and retention systems to support operational efficiency and audit readiness.


Collaboration & Leadership

Collaborate with external stakeholders, including auditors, financial institutions, and regulatory agencies, to ensure seamless financial operations.

Requirements

What You’ll Bring:

  • Team-first attitude with enthusiasm for tackling new challenges as they arise.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in an accounting role, with exposure to financial reporting and audit processes. Public accounting experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with Eclipse accounting software is strongly preferred.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in high-transaction environments.
  • Strong problem-solving, leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and demonstrate ethical business practices.
  • Demonstrated capabilities of flexibly reprioritizing, multitasking, meeting tight deadlines, and thriving in a collaborative environment.
