This is a customer-facing role, where you may participate in customer calls, join standup meetings, collaborate with peers, build, or test use cases, engage with Engineering on potential bugs, and help your colleagues on issues where you have expertise.
Provides analysis, development, and maintenance of CDG software applications and programs with focus on high customer satisfaction and fast turnaround. Must perform duties with a high degree of quality and professionalism.
- Perform a variety of application support and development assignments to support CDG’s products and clients.
- Will triage development request and assign to other co-workers or other departments.
- Will work Jira Support tickets to completion of the customer requirements.
- Interact effectively with other developers and other CDG personnel to resolve customer support requests, data queries and related requests.
- Develops, codes, maintains, and tests CDG applications to meet customer requirements in an efficient and expedient manner.
- Performs unit testing on any programs and applications written or modified.
- Participates in code reviews with other team members on own code and code written by other team members.
- Performs updates to design document to accurately reflect what was coded.
- Stays abreast of industry and technology developments by reading, attending webinars and training.
- Evaluates, designs, and modifies customer requests for enhancements to determine feasibility, cost and time required and compatibility with current system.
- Accomplishes organization mission by completing related results as needed.
Qualifications and Skills
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Math, or Physical Science or related work experience.
- 5+ years of development experience.
- Previous work experience with web applications using PHP, JavaScript, and other development languages.
- Previous work experience with SQL and relational databases.
- Communication Skills, Detail Oriented, Creative, Math and Analytical, Problem-Solving Skills, Time Management Skills
- Telecommunications industry experience preferred.
- Experience with Jira ticketing system.
