Proposal Coordinator Responsibilities:
- Develop and write proposals in response to government solicitations, ensuring they are clear, persuasive, and compliant with all requirements.
- Research, gather, and integrate technical and non-technical information to create comprehensive proposal content.
- Work closely with subject matter experts, project managers, and other stakeholders to obtain necessary information and incorporate feedback into proposals.
- Review and edit proposals for grammar, clarity, and consistency, ensuring a high level of quality and professionalism.
- Ensure that all proposals meet the guidelines and requirements outlined in the solicitation, including formatting, content, and deadlines.
- Coordinate the proposal development process, including scheduling meetings, setting deadlines, and tracking progress to ensure timely submission.
- Develop and maintain proposal templates, style guides, and other tools to streamline the proposal writing process.
- Identify areas for improvement in the proposal development process and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Maintain a repository of past proposals, templates, and other relevant documents for future reference and use.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in proposal writing or coordination, within the government contracting industry.
- Must have familiarity with full RFP/RFI processes.
Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Ability to understand and articulate complex technical information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with proposal management software and tools is a plus.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
