This role is an opportunity to shape meaningful donor experiences that strengthen our mission and community.
What you'll do:
- Lead individual major gift stewardship efforts, collaborating with fundraisers to design and execute personalized engagement strategies through the life-cycle of a major gift.
- Create, plan, and deliver tailored stewardship services, ensuring major and principal donors receive timely, impactful recognition.
- Manage a specialized portfolio, partnering with fundraisers to fulfill donor-specific requests and foster ongoing engagement/stewardship.
- Proactively identify stewardship opportunities by monitoring newly closed gifts and planning thoughtful follow-ups.
- Maintain accurate donor records and track stewardship activities, providing leadership with key insights and reports.
- Facilitate meaningful donors and stakeholder engagement at events and activities by supporting face-to-face interactions, understanding attendee profiles, and coordinating thoughtful introductions and relationship-building opportunities.
- 5+ years of experience cultivating and managing relationships among diverse stakeholders, including developing and implementing engagement strategies, enhancing customer experiences at events or activities, making strategic introductions, and facilitating meaningful connections to drive engagement and demonstrate impact
- Strong project management skills with the ability to meet deadlines, pre-established goals, and balance multiple priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with data management systems
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills to engage all stakeholders and achieve shared objectives
- Must be available after hours for occasional events and activities
What we want:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Prior experience in stewardship, fundraising or related nonprofit field, with a track record of successful donor cultivation and stewardship strategies
- Knowledge of fundraising systems
- Creativity in developing meaningful ways to showcase donor impact and appreciation
- Experience designing unique, high-touch experiences that deepen donor relationships
This job is not:
- This position is not an event planner, but it does play a key part in facilitating meaningful networking opportunities - supporting diverse attendee introductions and ensuring the right connections happen before, during, and after events or activities.
- This is not a fundraising role, but it plays a vital part in donor engagement, supporting stewardship efforts for major and principal gift donors in close partnership with frontline fundraisers.
