Strategic Market Analyst

The analyst will be responsible for compiling and analyzing geospatial data, used to develop strategic market recommendations and presentations while collaborating with a team and executives alike. The ideal candidate will have a strategic mindset, a passion for data analysis, and experience in geocoding and GIS with an interest in doing so for the long run. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to contribute to the optimization of branch networks through detailed market analyses. 


  Assist Director of Retail Strategies with market analyses.

  • Utilize Esri ArcGIS Pro software to create and finalize market analyses for clients.
  • Collect and securely compile client data, including direct communication with clients to explain and obtain customer data.
  • Analyze demographic and competitive client information using ESRI and other software.
  • Identify opportunities to improve and streamline current processes.
  • Act as a thought leader, identifying new opportunities to elevate the Insights team’s offerings.
  • Collaborate with other internal teams to ensure findings and insights are shared to deliver the best solutions to clients.
  • Conduct in-market fieldwork to evaluate current branch networks and potential new markets.
  • Organize and input client survey information relevant to studies.
  • Analyze client data to provide insights and recommendations for branch network optimization and future branch      deployment.
  • Present findings to clients at executive and board  levels.
  • Further develop the company’s use of software in relation to study objectives.
  • Collaborate with other internal teams to develop project case studies.
Requirements

Education Bachelor’s degree in Geography or Business  

Experience and/or Training 2-4 years of experience in complex data analytics and ESRI ArcGIS Pro.


Technology/Equipment 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient with ESRI software.The candidate should also have an advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.  Access to an on-site computer with ESRI Business Analyst software will be provided at La Macchia Group.


Language and Writing Ability:

Ability to read and comprehend process documents and procedures. Ability to effectively communicate; both orally and written.  Ability to write reports, conduct business correspondence, and understand procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information in a logical manner. 


Reasoning Ability:

Ability to problem solve, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.


Communication:

Demonstrated ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively communicate and work with a wide variety of personnel and respond to questions from other employees of the company. Strong presentational and public speaking skills are a plus.


Travel:

Occasional travel to client location and/or area for information gathering and other field work related activities 1-2 times per month.
