COLLECTIONS & ACCOUNTING ADMIN
Description

We are looking for a Collections and Accounting Admin to perform a variety of accounting tasks. Accounting Admin responsibilities include calling and emailing customers for past due invoices, ERP data entry, web invoicing, preparing reports, filing, and answering phones.

Requirements

Responsibilities


  • Monitoring customer payments and past due accounts


  • Contacts customers with overdue accounts to confirm receipt of invoices and payment dates


  • Maintains records of collections efforts and customer contact


  • Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department


  • Respond to and fulfill internal customer requests in a timely manner


  • Prepare and maintain accounting documents and records in an accurate manner


  • Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies


  • Function in accordance with established standards, procedures, and applicable laws


  • Constantly update job knowledge


Skills


  • Proven accounting experience, preferably as an Accounts receivable clerk or Accounts payable clerk


  • Third Party Collections experience is a plus


  • Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures


  • Competency in MS Office and accounting software


  • Hands-on experience with spreadsheets


  • Accuracy and a strong attention to detail


  • Aptitude for numbers


  • Ability to perform filing and record-keeping tasks


  • Data entry and word processing skills


  • Well organized


  • High school degree


  • Associate degree or relevant certification is a plus
