The VP of Engineering and Emerging Technologies at Lunavi will lead the application delivery engineering, data engineering, and emerging technologies engineering teams to enhance productivity and service quality. This role collaborates with senior leadership to set and execute strategic direction, engages in industry and community initiatives, supports the pre-sales process, and drives the development and delivery of impactful Application, Data, and AI solutions for our customers. 

Reporting to the SVP of Digital Transformation Services, the VP of Engineering and Emerging Technologies will play a pivotal role in aligning our emerging technologies, AI, and engineering initiatives with the broader digital transformation strategy, ensuring quality and innovation across all projects. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Strategic Leadership 

• Innovation Roadmap: Collaborate with the SVP to determine the innovation roadmap for Lunavi, incorporating new technologies, practices, and platforms for various engineering roles. 

• AI Strategies: Develop and implement AI strategies to drive Lunavi's technological advancements. 

• Trend Awareness: Stay up to date with the latest AI trends and technologies and disseminate this knowledge within Lunavi. 

• Internal Processes: Establish internal processes to leverage AI for improving Lunavi's initiatives and business operations. 

• Project Delivery: Ensure engineering COE leadership is improving effectiveness while maintaining high quality through driving innovation 

• Positive Environment: Foster a positive working environment, ensuring employee satisfaction through maintaining high Net Promoter Score (NPS) employee satisfaction scores 

Delivery 

• Team Requirements: Identify engineering team requirements for all Innovation Service solutions. 

• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the engineering team COE leads, promoting a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. 

Industry and Community 

• Brand Improvement: Enhance Lunavi's brand and thought leadership through community involvement, publications and articles, and national recognition. 

• Engagement: Actively participate in industry events and community initiatives to position Lunavi as a leader in AI and engineering.

Pre-Sales 

• Support: Support the Go-To-Market Team in pre-sales solutioning with clients. 

• Solution Offerings: Create and implement AI/innovative solution offerings that address in-demand and impactful business challenges.  

• 10+ years in IT/cloud industry, with substantial experience in Azure, AI, and machine learning. 

• Demonstrated success at leading and contributing to the development of large-scale applications, data analytics, and/or AI/ML projects, including hands-on involvement in demos, proofs of concept, or solution design  

• Proven ability to lead and inspire large technical teams and drive innovation 

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels 

• Deep understanding of AI, machine learning, and software development. Familiarity with cloud computing, containerization, and orchestration tools like Kubernetes 

• Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve complex technical issues 

• Ability to foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the engineering team 

• Effective at working cross-functionally with other departments to ensure alignment of engineering efforts with company objectives 

Preferred Qualifications/Skills 

• Recognized industry leader in Technology Innovation and/or AI/ML 

• Experience with project management frameworks to drive high-stakes initiatives efficiently and effectively. 

• Experience in developing cloud native solutions at scale
