Description

The Greenville Men’s Soccer Team is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Team Manager to support the day-to-day operations of the soccer team. This role plays a critical part in maintaining team equipment, preparing for practices and games, and assisting the coaching staff with logistical needs. The ideal candidate will have a passion for soccer, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
As the Team Manager, you will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks that ensure smooth operations for the soccer team. These include but are not limited to:

Equipment & Gear Management:
Wash and maintain team jerseys, including hanging and drying after games.
Ensure soccer balls are properly inflated and available for practice and games.
Help organize and manage team equipment (cones, nets, goals, etc.).

Game Day & Practice Support:
Set up locker rooms with jerseys, socks, shorts and field areas on game days (including organizing gear, water stations, etc.).
Assist with team warm-ups and drills during practice sessions.
Support coaches by helping with drills, player rotations, and organizing equipment during practice.
Be present on game days to assist with any immediate needs, including managing player recovery (e.g., pouring chocolate milk after games).

Administrative & Logistical Support:
Maintain inventory of team supplies, ensuring all necessary equipment is stocked and ready.

Player Support:
Build rapport with players, helping to foster a positive team environment.
Assist with post-game recovery procedures, including hydration and nutrition support.


Requirements

Must be a GU student enrolled in 6+ credit hours. 



Skills & Qualifications: 

Strong interest in soccer and knowledge of the game is preferred. 

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. 

Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. 

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with a diverse group of student-athletes and coaching staff. 

Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekend except for Sunday's, especially during the season. 

Previous experience in a team manager or similar role is a plus, but not required.
