Position Summary

We are seeking an innovative and experienced Chief Performance Officer (CPO) to lead the newly established Office of Performance & Innovation at Park Heights Renaissance. This key leadership role will be responsible for developing and designing PHR’s approach to performance and program delivery with a customer-focused lens. This leader will help drive standards of excellence across multiple cross sector teams, ensuring alignment with organizational and community goals, and manage publishing performance data for public presentation. The Chief Performance Officer will report to the CEO and oversee a multidisciplinary team of analysts, performance managers, and technology and/or systems developers to deliver high-impact performance management strategies, effective technology and data visualizations, and new innovations that increase transparency, accountability, and impact storytelling. Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Office of Performance & Innovation, setting the vision and strategy for data and performance management and new innovations across interdepartmental teams as well as external cross sector collaborative work groups.
  • Develop and implement performance management frameworks, tools, and processes to support organizational and community objectives.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-sector teams to align performance goals with organizational and community priorities.
  • Develop, analyze, and present performance data, with the ability to identify areas for innovation and new efficiencies and implementation solutions that drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Champion a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement across internal and external collaboration teams. 
  • Provide supervision, guidance, and mentorship to a diverse team of performance managers, data analysts, and technology systems developers.
  • Organize and simplify information and concepts, display written and visual recommendations.
  • Lead and facilitate regular performance review sessions, reporting on Key Performance Indicators, outcomes, and progress toward organizational and community goals.
  • Stay current on best practices in performance management and continuously assess and enhance processes to improve performance.


Requirements

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Leadership & Team Development: Proven experience in leading, mentoring, and developing teams in data analysis and performance management, with a focus on fostering growth and providing constructive feedback.
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Expertise in managing operations across multiple sectors or departments, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and seamless collaboration with diverse teams and external partners.
  • Strategic Alignment: Ability to align performance metrics with organizational and community goals, ensuring the organization is making data-driven decisions that support business and fundraising objectives.
  • Data Management & Reporting: Intermediate proficiency in data collection, ensuring consistency and accuracy in performance data, and overseeing analysis and reporting to support informed decision-making.
  • Innovation & Process Optimization: Experience identifying and implementing innovative solutions and best practices to drive programmatic and operational efficiencies, leveraging both existing and emerging technologies.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

  • Master's Degree or Doctorate in Computer Science, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field required.
  • Extensive experience in performance management, change management, strategic planning, and organizational improvement. A minimum of five years’ experience required. 
  • Certification in performance management, Scrum Master, Agile, Six Sigma or related fields is highly desirable. Scrum Master Certification required within 90 days.
  • Confident and flexible leader with effective listening skills with a track record of effective team management, preferably in a public sector, nonprofit, or large organizational setting.
  • Collaborative leadership style that fosters excellent customer satisfaction and builds strong relationships and impactful teams. 
  • Expert knowledge of performance management tools, systems, and technologies.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret, analyze and present data, recommendations that support the tenets of a results-driven organization.  
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Customer service management is highly desired. 


Salary Description
Salary Range - $110,000-180,000
