Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and innovative Composites Engineer to design, analyze, and manufacture advanced composite materials and structures. The ideal candidate will have expertise in material selection, composite manufacturing techniques, and structural analysis to support product development and optimization. This role is critical in driving the development of high-performance, lightweight, and durable composite components for aerospace applications.
Key Responsibilities:
· Design and develop composite materials, structures, and components for various applications.
· Conduct material selection and testing to ensure optimal performance and durability.
· Utilize CAD and FEA software for structural analysis and design optimization.
· Oversee composite manufacturing processes, including layup, molding, curing, and NDT Inspection.
· Develop and document manufacturing processes, design guidelines, and best practices.
· Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing and material performance issues.
· Conduct failure analysis and recommend design modifications as necessary.
· Stay up to date with emerging trends and advancements in composite materials and manufacturing techniques.
Qualifications and Skills:
· Bachelor's or Master's degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
· Proven experience in composite materials engineering, including design, analysis, and manufacturing.
· Proficiency in CAD software.
· Knowledge of composite manufacturing processes, such as autoclave curing, resin infusion, and filament winding.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
· Understanding of material properties, including fiber reinforcements, resins, and adhesives.
· Familiarity with industry standards such as ASTM, ISO, and FAA regulations.
· Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
· Experience with additive manufacturing and advanced composites is a plus.
