Description
SUMMARY
The Upper School mathematics department teaches Algebra I through Vector Calculus, including AP Statistics and AP Calculus, both BC and AB. For this position, the school seeks an outstanding educator for Upper School Math with expertise in a wide array of math courses.
This is a full-time, 10-month, exempt position. Some evening and weekend work is required.?
RESPONSIBILITIES?
- Teach four sections of mathematics.
- Mentor twelve to fourteen students as part of a comprehensive grade level Advisory team.
- Engage in the life of the school beyond the classroom.
Requirements
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; master’s degree preferred.
- A minimum of three years of experience in an independent school environment teaching Upper School math.
- Experience teaching AP Calculus AB or BC is preferred.
- Experience in working with a TI-84 calculator and various computer technology.
