Description

SUMMARY 

The Greenhill English program requires students to enroll in yearlong, core courses in 9th and 10th grades, and semester electives as juniors and seniors. This full-time position will involve teaching yearlong sections of 9th grade English in addition to junior/senior semester courses. 


This is a full-time, 10-month, exempt position. Some evening and weekend work is required. 


RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Teach four sections of English courses, including 9th grade English
  • Mentor twelve to fourteen students as part of a comprehensive grade level Advisory team.
  • Engage in the life of the school beyond the classroom.
Requirements

Qualifications and Education Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's degree in English minimum, Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Have at least 3-5 years’ experience teaching literature and writing, including but not limited to world literature, introductory rhetoric, modern fiction, multimedia composition, and the history and varieties of the English language.
