Description
The Foreman role manages construction site activities to keep projects on schedule and on budget while reporting to the Project Manager regarding project-specific tasks. The responsibilities of this role include:
- Oversee projects and direct crews in the completion of a variety of installation projects ranging from pond liners to underground detention units, to pavers and biofilters, to engineered product solutions such as Hydroturf.
- Anticipate project needs and potential problems.
- Implement management techniques that are cost-effective and efficient.
- Develop multiple crews fostering a professional courteous working environment and team-building.
- Maintaining professional relations and communications with the field crew, on-site contacts and project management team.
- Make process improvements as necessary to meet construction budgets and deadlines.
- Enforce safety compliance per company standards and OSHA requirements, including all required reporting and onsite safety meetings.
- Assist in resource planning, crew training and specialized equipment supervision.
- Communicate with customer to confirm site is ready for install.
- 5 + years of Site Construction experience as a Foreman or in a similar role.
- Experience with installation of Pond Liners, Underground Detention Units, Biofilters and/or Engineered Product Solutions a plus.
- Ability to travel. This is a boots on the ground role with a majority of the work in the southeast.
- Understanding of proper safety procedures and recognition of hazardous situation.
- Extensive construction knowledge.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
- Solid working knowledge of computer programs, including Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and Outlook.
- Knowledge and experience using equipment: skid steer, front-end loader, excavator.
- Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
- Ability to set priorities, forecast upcoming work, and appropriately allocate resources.

- High school diploma or equivalent
