Job Summary
The Email Marketing & SMS Manager will develop and execute marketing campaigns tailored to each stage of a customer's journey with a brand. Focus will be on creating personalized experiences that nurture customer relationships and maximize lifetime value. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and optimizing targeted, data-driven campaigns that engage customers, drive conversions, and increase customer retention. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is instrumental in ensuring email and SMS marketing strategies align with broader business objectives. This position will play a key role in the development and execution of retention strategies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Email & SMS Campaign Strategy:
Develop and implement data-driven email and SMS marketing strategies to engage customers at various stages of their journey as well as work closely with the marketing team to integrate email and SMS into the broader marketing strategy.
Campaign Execution & Optimization:
Plan, execute, and optimize email and SMS campaigns, ensuring they meet business goals and deliver exceptional customer experiences. Leverage A/B testing and data insights to continually optimize messaging, design, timing, and frequency to drive better results as well as ensure email and SMS campaigns are mobile-friendly, highly engaging, and compliant with best practices and regulations (e.g., GDPR, CAN-SPAM).
Data Analysis & Reporting:
Analyze and report on campaign performance, including open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, and ROI as well as, use data and insights to refine segmentation strategies and improve overall email and SMS performance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with product, design, and content teams to create compelling, on-brand email and SMS content and work closely with the analytics teams to ensure campaigns are aligned with business goals and customer needs.
Technology & Tools Management:
Manage the email and SMS marketing platforms and ensure campaigns are executed seamlessly while staying up to date with the latest trends, tools, and best practices in email and SMS marketing.
Knowledge /Skills/Abilities
- 5+ years’ experience in email and SMS marketing, with a proven track record of driving customer engagement and retention.
- Experience managing and executing multi-channel campaigns (email, SMS) using marketing automation platforms (e.g., Klaviyo, Mailchimp, Salesforce Marketing Cloud).
- Strong analytical skills with experience in A/B testing, segmentation, and campaign performance analysis.
- Excellent writing, communication, and copywriting skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Knowledge of email and SMS marketing best practices, deliverability, and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, CAN-SPAM).
- Ability to work cross-functionally, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
