Description

Continuum of Colorado has an opening to be our next Employment Consultant. As our Employment Consultant, you will communicate, coordinate, and provide integrated employment services. The Employment Consultant also coordinates with the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation and other external entities as needed.

Requirements

  • Two years of experience and/or related education or training working with individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Work independently
  • Work flexible hours, as needed
  • Valid Colorado driver's license and proof of auto insurance
  • Personal vehicle in good operating condition for use during work as appropriate.
  • Meet our driving requirements - no suspensions/revocations and no more than two (2) moving violations in the past three (3) years

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; additional related work experience may be substituted for advanced study requirement
  • Prefer experience in sales and marketing
  • Prefer working knowledge of the IDD system, rules and regulations and DVR.
  • Prefer additional experience in an area directly related to job assignment.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Coordinates services and supports (i.e. Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, employers, Social Security)
  • Monitors and assesses job-related skills and provides employment skills training and follow-along support. Helps families determine priorities for service
  • Conducts assessments to determine barriers to employment and work readiness; Assists individuals receiving supports with employment leads and job placement
  • Accurately completes and distributes program documentation to include case notes, DVR application and supporting documentation, comprehensive assessment documentation, etc.
  • Develops and maintains current and organized case files as required by the agency, State of Colorado, and respective County human services departments.
