What You’ll Do 

As a Veterinary Dermatology Technician at MVA, you’ll help ensure pets receive the highest standard of dermatologic care. In this role, you will: 

  • Assist in running dermatology appointments and support the dermatologist with sedation and anesthesia when needed 
  • Work alongside a two-nurse, one-doctor team, delivering efficient, high-quality patient care 
  • Handle a high volume of client communication, educating pet owners on dermatologic conditions, treatment plans, and follow-up care 
  • Perform minimal sedation procedures, such as biopsies and ear flushes, with proper patient monitoring 
  • Maintain infection control protocols, including the appropriate use of PPE when handling potentially infectious cases 
  • Ensure a clean, organized work environment, including proper sterilization of equipment and compliance with safety standards 
  • Collaborate with a dynamic, fast-paced team, sharing ideas to improve workflow and patient outcomes

Anticipated Schedule 

This is a full-time position with the following available schedules: 

  • Monday - Thursday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM 

Compensation 

  • Starting at $23/00/hour

Requirements

What We’re Looking For 


We’re seeking Veterinary Technicians who thrive when caring for animals, solving problems under pressure, and working collaboratively. Our ideal candidate has: 

  • 2+ years of experience in a high-volume emergency or ICU setting (preferred) 
  •  Experience with advanced monitoring, ventilator support, and critical patient stabilization 
  • CVT license (a plus) 
  • Proficiency in anesthesia, venipuncture, and IV catheter placement 
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate and provide empathetic client updates 
  • Broad knowledge base of small animal medicine 
  • A commitment to exceptional client service and clear, empathetic communication 
  • The ability to work independently while remaining an invaluable part of the team
