Description
Faith Christian Academy (FCA) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Head Varsity Football Coach to lead our football program with excellence, integrity, and a Christ-centered approach. The ideal candidate will have a passion for developing student-athletes both on and off the field, fostering a culture of discipline, teamwork, and spiritual growth.
- Provide leadership and oversight for the varsity football program, ensuring alignment with the mission and values of Faith Christian Academy.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive football program that emphasizes character development, academic success, and athletic excellence.
- Plan and lead practices, conditioning programs, and game strategies.
- Mentor and disciple student-athletes, integrating biblical principles into coaching.
- Recruit, develop, and retain assistant coaches and staff.
- Build strong relationships with student-athletes, parents, faculty, and the FCA community.
- Ensure compliance with all school, conference, and FHSAA regulations.
- Oversee off-season training, camps, and player development programs.
- Promote the program within the school and local community to encourage school spirit and participation.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience coaching high school or college football, preferably as a head coach or coordinator.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- A commitment to Christian education and the spiritual growth of student-athletes.
- Ability to develop and implement effective game strategies and practice plans.
- Knowledge of FHSAA and SIAA rules and regulations.
- Ability to collaborate with administration, faculty, and the athletic department.
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required.
- Must pass all background checks and meet FCA employment requirements.
- Obtain and maintain Florida State Certification in an area related to management and/or coaching.
- Maintain and hold certifications in CPR and First Aid.
- Possess the ability and experience to effectively coach athletes and mentor students.
