GENERAL DESCRIPTION (PURPOSE)

 

Direct NPHX Security: Team leader,  develop and implement security plans. 

  

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION (SKILLS, EXPERIENCE,   & EDUCATION)

 

· A committed Christian   living a life of obedience; beliefs consistent with NPHX Church statement of   faith.

· 3-5 years of experience   in Security Management at a church similar organization. 

· Highly   relational—ability to interact with a variety of people in a variety of   circumstances.

· Detail oriented. 

· Self-motivation and   commitment to excellence is required.

· Ability to effectively   manage conflict or other tense/sensitive situations.

· Strong oral and written   communication skills.

· Ability to appropriately   handle confidential information.

· Demonstrated ability to   handle multiple tasks at the same time.

· Familiarity with   computer and general technology is required. 

· Must be/become a member   of NPHX Church. 

  

  

SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (Evaluation criteria   based on these responsibilities listed on review forms) 

 

Security Strategic Planning: ~ 55%

· Developing and   implementing a comprehensive security plan 

· Identifying potential vulnerabilities   and setting priorities. 

· Allocating Resources 

· Setting up and   maintaining security systems.  

· Developing training for   security staff.

· Developing emergency   procedures for each building.

· Training ministry, production,   worship, FLC, Weekday preschool staff on emergency procedures.  

·  Coordinating with law enforcement agencies   ensuring smooth communication and cooperation in the event of an   emergency. 

· In the event of an   emergency take charge of the situation, directing team members and   coordinating efforts with church leaders and emergency responders. 

· Completing and   submitting incident reports to the Human Resources Specialist to submit to   the insurance company. 

Security Team Management:  ~ 40%

· Identifying, recruiting scheduling   and training team members.

· Identifying, recruiting,   scheduling and training volunteers. 

· Set Sunday assignments   for Sunday team members and volunteers. 

· Monitor and evaluate   team performance. Identify areas for   improvement and implement necessary changes.

· Oversee the procurement,   maintenance and inventory of security equipment and resources such as   communication devices, surveillance cameras, and access control systems. 

· Ensure all team members   are familiar with the use and care of the security equipment. 

Administration ~5%

· Working with the   Executive Pastor of Finance and Administration, develop annual budget for   security. 

· Participate and contribute   to Administration team meetings and church staff meetings. 

· Other duties as may be   assigned.
