Spanish Speaking Mental Health Professional (MHP) - Case Worker
Description

Under general supervision, provides one-on-one behavioral interventions with children, youth and/or adults receiving specialty mental health services in the client's home/residential placement/school or during community outings; performs related work as assigned.  

Requirements

 

  • Maintain assigned caseload of weekly billable insurance hours. 
  • Responsible for ensuring services are provided in the community. 
  • Participating in the person-centered planning process. 
  • Providing direct community-based behavioral health services and support for the individual and family as indicated in the Person-Centered Plan. 
  • Monitor and track consumer hours and annual intake dates and complete as assigned. 
  • Assisting the Case Manager in monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of interventions as evidenced by symptom reduction and progress toward goals. 
  • Responsible for completing the OnTarget tasks assigned within 24 hours.  
  • Assisting the Case Manager with consulting identified non-medical providers, engaging community and natural supports and including their input in the person-center/ed planning process. 
  • Ensure that all information obtained while at Carolina Therapeutic Services is kept confidential and will remain confidential beyond employment. 
  • Ensure confidentiality training is updated.  
  • Report critical concerns, problems, and lack of engagement to supervisor in a timely manner and actively seek Supervisor’s input and assistance to resolving the concern. 
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary staffing and meetings. 
  • Attends all appropriate in-services, workshops, or continuing education programs, which are trainings provided by CTS Health or on behalf of CTS. 
  • Responsible for completing appropriate annual intakes. 
  • Maintains strict confidentiality according to all Federal and State guidelines and requirements. 
  • Exemplifies personal and professional conduct. 
  • Upholds the Professional Code of Ethics. 
  • Maintains a cooperative relationship with employees, treatment staff and others. 
  • Adheres to and supports facility policies, programs and activities. 
  • Demonstrates tact, courtesy, and a positive approach to communication and interaction with other employees, visitors, physicians, etc. 
  • Responsible for personal development to ensure current knowledge in the profession.  
  • Responsible for maintaining a safe, clean and drug free environment in the office space utilized. 
  • Willingness to work beyond what is required periodically. 
  • Maintain service notation that meets agency notation standards, Medicaid standards, and/or any other auditing agency such as the LME. (For timeliness, quality, and completeness). This notation must include: I) the purpose of contact; 2) describes the provider's interventions; 3) effectiveness of the intervention; 4) the time spent performing the intervention; and 5) signature (degree/credentials or position) of person providing service. 
  • Must maintain the flexibility to respond to client needs and crisis situations beyond the agencies normal working hours. 
  • Deliver services in various environments, such as homes, schools, jails (for state funds only), homeless shelters, etc. 
  • Perform any other job-related duties as specified by a supervisor. 

Qualifications

  • Human service field with less than one year of full-time, post-graduate degree accumulated MH/DD/SA experience with the population served, or a substance abuse professional with less than one year of full-time, post-graduate degree accumulated supervised experience in alcoholism and drug abuse counseling. Supervision shall be provided by a qualified professional with the population served until the individual meets one year of experience. 
  • Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree in a human service field with less than two years of full-time, post-bachelor's degree accumulated MH/DD/SA experience with the population served, or a substance abuse professional with less than two years of full-time, post-bachelor's degree accumulated supervised experience in alcoholism and drug abuse counseling, 
  • One-year documented experience in the delivery of mental health treatment to children and /or adolescents. 
  • High School diploma (additional 5 years’ mental health experience preferred) 
Salary Description
$18-$22/ hr
