CRISP Shared Services (CSS) serves as the technology partner for health information exchange (HIE) affiliates in Maryland, DC, West Virginia, Connecticut, Alaska, and Virginia. CSS facilitates the electronic transfer of clinical information between disparate information systems in order to positively impact the healthcare system through improved patient care and outcomes, reduced costs, and data-driven understanding of regional public health concerns.


Job Summary

The Summer 2025 Intern will be responsible for support and special projects on the CSS teams. This individual must be computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office and must be willing to learn other application software. Our summer internships last for 10-13 weeks and start at the beginning of June.


CSS is hiring Interns in the following departments/areas:

  • IT- Application Support
  • IT - Software Development Engineer 
  • IT - Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer
  • DevOps Engineer
  • Public Health
  • Project Management

  • Outstanding organizational and interpersonal skills with all levels in the organization.
  • Possession and demonstration of curiosity, flexibility, creativity, good judgment, and a sense of ownership.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work with a diverse team.

Education and/or Experience

  • High School diploma required.
  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited, degree-seeking program.
  • Rising undergraduate Juniors and Seniors preferred.

Compensation: $20-$25 an hour depending on year in school
