Position Summary
We are hiring a Market Development Manager to support and grow our agent network in the Austin and San Antonio, TX markets. This role combines field training, local relationship building, and grassroots marketing to help agents reach new clients and communities.
Key Responsibilities
Agent Support & Development
- Onboard and train agents (in-person and virtual)
- Help agents build marketing plans and reach sales goals
- Provide hands-on coaching, mentorship, and performance tracking
Community & Provider Outreach
- Build relationships with senior centers, nonprofits, clinics, and hospitals
- Coordinate joint educational events and workshops
- Represent Agility at networking groups and local associations
Local Marketing & Lead Generation
- Organize health fairs, seminars, and community outreach events
- Guide agents on referral strategies, social media, and local advertising
- Track event ROI and regional agent performance
Qualifications & Skills
Technical & Interpersonal Skills:
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of Medicare, Individual & Family Plans, ACA, and other insurance products.
- Relationship Building: Exceptional communication and networking skills with experience in establishing strategic partnerships.
- Training & Mentorship: Ability to teach complex concepts in a clear, accessible manner and motivate agents to hit targets.
- Analytical Thinking: Proficient in evaluating market data, identifying trends, and creating actionable strategies.
- Project Management: Organized and detail-oriented, with the capacity to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Technology Proficiency: Comfortable using CRM systems, MS Office Suite (or similar), and virtual meeting platforms
Minimum Requirements:
- 3+ years in Medicare, ACA, insurance sales, or FMO/channel support
- Active Life & Health Insurance License (preferred, or willingness to obtain)
- AHIP or FFM certification (preferred, or willingness to obtain)
- Strong knowledge of Medicare Advantage, ACA plans, and compliance
- Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to travel locally/regionally; valid driver’s license & insurance
Additional Requirements:
- Willingness and ability to travel locally/regionally for community events, agent meetings, and partnership-building activities.
- Valid driver's license, insurance, and transportation.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends for special events and agent training sessions.
