We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, and results-driven Countertop Templator to join our Residential Flooring Team. In this role, you will be responsible for measuring and templating cabinets for countertop installations and providing precise take-off bids to our sales and design teams.

A Typical Day

· Measure and create templates for various countertop materials, ensuring accuracy for installation.

· Collaborate with clients and contractors to understand project specifications and requirements.

· Coordinate and organize schedule for making site visits to new construction and remodel properties. 

· Provide detailed drawings and quotes utilizing CAD based programs, a product/bid system and job tracking app.  

· Manage changes/additions to materials, bids, and drawings in a timely manner. 

· Work effectively with customers and internal employees to build good relationships and expectations.

· Some flooring estimating will be involved depending on the volume of countertop templates on any given day. 

· Basic construction knowledge. 

· Motivation and ability to complete math equations accurately.

· Aptitude to read and interpret cabinet layouts, architectural blueprints, and technical specifications.

· Effective communication skills for collaborating with clients and team members.

· Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

· Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.

· Capability to manage multiple tasks while meeting quality requirements and deadlines.

· Good verbal and written communication skills. 

· High School diploma or equivalent.

· Valid driver’s license.   

· Ability to lift/carry up to 50lbs.

Preferred Experience   

· Previous countertop templating experience. 

· Proficient with Microsoft Office.

· Knowledge of flooring and countertop software such as Flexijet, Measure and RFMS. 

· Knowledge of countertop materials and installation methods is preferred.
