In this role, this individual will be responsible for successfully managing assigned prospects, creating new partnership opportunities, and closing deals. This individual will manage all aspects of the sales process throughout the entire sales cycle; including identifying prospects, sizing prospects, planning/attending/exhibiting and speaking at tradeshows, cold calling, posting on LinkedIn, creating presentations, completing financial proformas, developing pricing proposals, coordinating with the implementation team to establish expectations, defining processes and best practices to on-board new clients, etc.
Essential Job Functions:
- Learn and maintain in depth knowledge of all products and services, industry trends, and competition
- Make daily outbound calls to prospects in a variety of market segments including financial, government, healthcare, etc. – this is a “hunter” role
- Follow-up and nurture all inbound leads and leads generated, ensuring the continued flow of qualified sales opportunities
- Ability to effectively communicate in either written or oral form; maintains attention and actively listens to others' ideas and thoughts
- Gathers and analyzes client needs, understand their current recovery strategies, and identify key influencers and decision makers. Making logical decisions based on available facts and impact with short and long-term priorities.
- Determine the right product and/or solutions to propose to prospective clients. Effectively present and articulate complex product features, benefits and overall solutions.
- Demonstrates willingness and is excited to face new challenges; presenting ideas and that demonstrate the ability to adapt to change.
- Maintain accurate account, contact, sales activity, opportunity and forecast information within the Company’s CRM system
- Develop and execute new lead retrieval processes
- Support on-going communications with existing clients in order to ensure high levels of satisfaction post implementation
- Work with marketing department and sales executives to coordinate sales efforts and develop new large-scale sales strategies
- Analyze client inventory and test files in order to present summaries to clients and prospects
- Represent company at trade shows and industry events
- Create, participate and lead webinars
- Assist in internal efforts to create pricing proposals for prospects across all solutions offered as needed
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all internal support departments
- Understand and adhere to Company information, security and privacy responsibilities as detailed in the Information Resource Usage Policy, Employee Manual, and client-specific publications
Education/Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or closely related discipline is preferred, and/or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of Sales experience
- Experience selling software in the financial services and healthcare industry is preferred
- Proven track record of consistently achieving goals and revenue quota
- Lead generation experience using Salesforce.com is highly desirable
- Understand sales process and ability to coach to the process
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to develop relationships with prospective clients
- Proficient in MS Office applications, primarily: Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
