Job Title: Quality/Manufacturing Engineer (ISO Certification Focus)
Location: Cuday, WI (HQ) Dane, WI (secondary location)
Reports To: Vice President of Engineering
Department: Quality/Manufacturing Engineering

Position Overview:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our team, with a primary focus on ensuring the highest quality standards across our manufacturing operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the ISO certification process for two of our facilities. As a Quality Engineer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement quality systems, ensure compliance with industry standards, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities:

ISO Certification Support:

  • Lead and support the ISO certification process for two facilities, ensuring all documentation, systems, and procedures align with ISO standards.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external auditors to prepare for and pass ISO audits.
  • Conduct internal audits to assess compliance with ISO standards and identify areas for improvement.

Quality Management System (QMS):

  • Maintain and improve the company’s Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring it meets industry standards and customer requirements.
  • Review and update quality policies and procedures to align with the latest regulations and best practices.
  • Develop and implement quality assurance plans, inspection processes, and standards.

Root Cause Analysis & Corrective Actions:

  • Identify quality issues through data analysis, audits, and inspection processes.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to investigate defects or non-conformances, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Work with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and improve product consistency.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Collect and analyze quality data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and areas of concern.
  • Prepare and present quality performance reports to leadership, highlighting key metrics, improvement efforts, and compliance status.

Training & Development:

  • Provide training to production teams on quality standards, ISO processes, and quality control procedures.
  • Promote a quality-focused culture throughout the organization, ensuring that quality principles are embedded in all manufacturing activities.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by applying quality methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean, and SPC (Statistical Process Control).
  • Work closely with manufacturing and engineering teams to identify opportunities for process optimization that improve product quality and operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 0-3 years of experience in a quality assurance or quality engineering role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 or other ISO standards, with hands-on experience in preparing for and maintaining ISO certification a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify and address quality issues.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), with knowledge of statistical analysis tools or quality management software a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and train others on quality processes.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with quality management systems (QMS) and audit processes.
  • Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma methodologies and tools.
  • Understanding of statistical process control (SPC) and other data analysis techniques.
