The Cybersecurity Project Manager will lead federal projects that drive meaningful, mission-oriented work, contributing to initiatives that make a tangible impact on public services and national priorities. This role will help oversee the planning, execution, and completion of projects related to security activities and initiatives. The Cybersecurity Project Manager will facilitate and provide direction for the project team(s), while acting as the client’s advocate to ensure the goals and objectives of the project are achieved. This role is responsible for managing two teams of 5-7 people each and must be an excellent communicaton, experienced in liaising with a variety of stakeholders including executive leadership (CISO level), as it is directly customer-facing.

This is a W2 Position. Corp-to-Corp and 1099 ineligible. You must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.


Location: Remote with possible travel to Washington D.C.


Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for managing 2 teams of 5-7 people each 
  • Lead and oversee the execution of complex government contracts, ensuring alignment with contractual requirements, organizational goals, and regulatory standards.
  • Infuses Agile practices into the program and ensures they are embraced, helping teams stay collaborative, flexible, and focused on delivering results.
  • Manage program schedules, budgets, and resources, maintaining accountability for on-time delivery and cost management.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between government clients and internal teams, fostering effective communication and addressing client concerns proactively.
  • Develop and maintain program documentation, including project plans, risk assessments, status reports, and deliverables tracking.
  • Identify, analyze, and mitigate program risks, implementing corrective actions to resolve issues and ensure program success.
  • Coordinate and monitor cross-functional teams, ensuring collaboration and adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
  • Lead teams through the ATO process and audits ensuring they are completed systematically and according to schedule.
  • Responsible for final sign off and delivery of all project deliverables.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable government regulations, standards, and reporting requirements, including FAR, DFARS, and agency-specific guidelines.
  • Prepare and deliver program updates, briefings, and performance reviews to stakeholders, including senior management and government representatives.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance program delivery, efficiency, and client satisfaction.
  • Develop, deliver, and manage reports, a risk log, and presentations for various audiences.
  • Mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's Degree 
  • Active PMP certification
  • 8+ Years Experience as an IT or Cybersecurity Project Manager (at least 5 being in government or government contracts)
  • At least one of the following certifications: CISSP, CASP+, CISA, Security+
  • Demonstrated, direct experience with the FedRAMP Authorization process.
  • Demonstrated experience with leading teams through the ATO process.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills with proven track record interfacing with partners, clients, and other stakeholders is required.
  • Highly organized and skilled at driving initiatives through to completion.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Capable of operating a computer and other office productivity machinery, and frequently communicate with co-workers, management, and customers.


This is a Full-Time, W2 position. Corp-to-Corp and 1099 ineligible.
