This position requires applicants posses a valid driver's license and to work with a team of experienced professionals. The ideal candidate can work on their feet for most of the day and is comfortable working in a fast-paced outdoor environment. Applicants must be able to lift 50lbs. This position requires the ability to travel 1-4 weeks at a time between the months of March through September. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and continuing random drug tests. Experience working with pesticides is highly valued.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in applying herbicides to the railroad and its surrounding properties
- Make safe and effective on the job decisions
- Drive a pickup truck with a trailer attached
- Perform simple math: addition, multiplication and division.
- Work in a crew of 2-3 people
- Show up on time and work in a professional manner
- Properly organize and fill out daily reports.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
