Summary
The Sales Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing the internal and external sales team, developing strategies, setting goals, managing budgets, analyzing performance data, and ensuring the team meets or exceeds sales targets, effectively driving revenue and growth for the Company.
Functions
- Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate comprehensive sales plans, including identifying target markets, pricing strategies and sales tactics to achieve revenue goals.
- Hire, train, and motivate a sales team to maximize their performance, providing ongoing coaching and feedback.
- Establish clear sales targets for individual team members and the overall sales team, tracking progress, and adjusting strategies as needed.
- Develop and manage short/long term forecasts of active business.
- Develop and/or enhance, implement and enforce policies and procedures of the internal and external sales departments by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the company.
- Manage Sales Budgets, allocating resources efficiently and tracking expenses.
- Manage/prioritize the quoting process by acting as a liaison between the customer and the internal quoting team. Ensure accurate information is provided to the quoting team to ensure on time delivery of quotes.
- Analyze sales activity and data to identify opportunities for improvement and increased profitable revenue.
- Foster strong relationship with key clients, addressing customer concerns, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new programs/strategies, and regulatory action.
- Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision making issues affecting the organization; i.e., evaluation of potential alliances, acquisitions, and/or mergers.
- Manage internal and external marketing arms of the company.
Generate regular sales reports to provide insights on team performance and identify trends

Supervisory
This position manages quoting priorities as well as both the internal and external sales team, providing them with the tools and direction needed to align with Drake’s strategic growth plan.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, exempt position. This position regularly requires long hours and frequent weekend work.
Travel
Travel is local to manage the team, but regular customer visits are required. Overnight and international travel may be expected.
Education and Experience Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
· Master’s degree preferred
· Contracts and negotiation experience
· 15 years of Machining and Manufacturing Industry related experience
