Job Description
This position at Sytech will be responsible for Wet Painter that is vital to our production of our products for our customers. We are seeking a highly self-motivated individual who is willing to be a valued member of our team. This individual must be flexible and willing to keep the internal and external customers in mind; while maintaining Quality of Workmanship, Safety, Accountability, and Teamwork, which is vital to our mission.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:

- Equivalent knowledge or related or similar experience in spray painting operations of automatic/manual systems, and use of spray gun and equipment; follow detailed specific directions and instructions.
- Proficient at preparing parts and weldments by washing, applying paint coatings, mixing and managing chemicals, while meeting quality and product efficiency standards.
- Clean, maintain, and repair paint spray equipment, along with cleaning paint booth and changing paint booth filters.
- Able to complete wet or dry mill tests, recognize colors and surface finish characteristics.
- Able to read blueprints and manufacturing drawings/instructions.
- Report inconsistencies and/or defects in material, product, or equipment.
- Accurately record labor and work order information.
- Complete operator equipment and maintenance checklists.
- Track and maintain chemical inventory levels/amounts.
- Able to use various hand and power tools as assigned.
- Able to operate forklifts
- Able to wear a cartridge style respirator.
- Required to pass and maintain qualifications for Respiratory Protection Physical, Respirator Fit Test and Pulmonary Function Test.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 to 3 years of experience in paint application, mixing, and chemical management preferred.
Physical Demands
- Must be able to maintain a quick and steady pace working efficiently throughout the shift. Typical work shift is from 8 to 10 hours.
- Perform repetitious task and be able to focus on jobs for extended periods of time
- Regularly required to sit for long periods of time. Stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle or touch objects to perform job activities.
- The employee is frequently required to reach above shoulders, balance, twist, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch and talk or hear.
- Vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
- Able to perform foot pedal operation throughout entire shift
- Adaptable to a changing work environment.
- Contact with metals, lubricants, solvents, and exposure to noise
- Frequently lift to/from floor-up to 50 lbs.
- Rotation of head/neck, bending and twisting at the waist, walking, standing, kneeling, reaching, use of high and low impact vibratory tools, flexion/extension,
- contact with metals, lubricants, solvents, exposure to noise, and the use of personal safety gear for face, eyes, hand/arm and ears.

- Confined spaces, high noise levels, moving objects such as forklifts and carts.
- Manufacturing metal fabrication environment.
- Exposure to hot temperature when working new ovens or in areas of the building that cannot be temperature controlled (especially during summer months).

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.50 - $24.00 per hour (non-exempt)
