Job Overview
SurePoint is looking for an experienced IT Systems Engineer to oversee internal IT operations and ensure efficient IT service delivery across the organization. This role will be responsible for maintaining IT infrastructure, supporting helpdesk operations, and managing IT service improvements. The IT Systems Engineer will play a crucial role in optimizing IT systems and processes, ensuring security, and enhancing overall operational efficiency. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Security and GRC.
Responsibilities and Duties
· Maintain IT systems, networks, and infrastructure to ensure security, reliability, and optimization.
· Establish and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
· Oversee IT support operations, ensuring timely and efficient resolution of issues.
· Manage IT assets, software licensing, and system configurations.
· Serve as the escalation point for complex IT issues.
· Collaborate with security and compliance teams to meet regulatory requirements.
· Monitor and improve IT service levels and operational efficiency.
· Oversee vendor relationships and IT service contracts.
· Lead IT projects, including system upgrades and new technology implementations.
· 5+ years of IT experience with a focus on infrastructure, system administration, and end-user support.
· Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Office 365).
· Experience managing IT support/helpdesk functions and ticketing systems.
· Familiarity with security best practices and compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001).
· Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex IT issues efficiently.
· Strong problem-solving skills with an independent and proactive approach.
· Experience with IT budgeting and vendor management.
· Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred
· Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science.
· Preferred certifications: ITIL, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, CISSP, CISM, or similar.
