We have an exciting opportunity for an professional Senior Staff Accountant to join our Kontron Family! This person will be supporting the following:
- General Ledger Accounting (journal entries, month-end financial close, account reconciliations, inter-company confirmations, research & analysis, etc.)
- Supports financial and internal audits, assists with tax requirements, and performs accounting administrative duties.
- Supports financial analysis, cost accounting & controlling, budgets and forecasts, and other analytic and reporting needs.
- Helps/backs-up other functional areas as needed
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Performs tasks related to general ledger accounting (journal entries, support schedules, account analyses, postings, reconciliations, research and problem solving, fixed assets, etc.)
- Supports reviews and analyses of actual P&L performance against plan and forecasts future reporting periods.
- Meets deadlines. Responds promptly to requests from supervisor, and senior management.
- Supports internal control standards, policies, and procedures.
- Reviews and updates documented processes and procedures.
- Performs other accounting and administrative functions and tasks as needed/assigned.
- Aids in special projects as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree - with emphasis in Accounting or Finance.
- MBA, CPA, or CMA a plus
- 2+ years progressive Accounting and/or Finance experience.
- MS applications (Excel/Word/Outlook/Teams) proficient.
- Experience in, and/or willing to work in, a fast paced, cross-functional team.
- Multi-company and/or manufacturing experience a plus.
- ·Solid communication and human interaction skills.
- Detail oriented. Problem solver.
- SAP experience a plus
