As a Restaurant Server, you will be responsible for taking orders, delivering food and drinks, and providing outstanding customer service. Job Responsibilities
• Greet customers upon arrival and provide them with menus
• Take orders and serve food and drinks to customers
• Check with customers to ensure that they are enjoying their meals
• Process customer payments and provide change
• Process customer orders in a timely and efficient manner
• Clean tables and remove used dishes
• Set up tables with clean linen, condiments, and other needed items
• Answer questions about menu items and make recommendations
• Ensure that all food and drinks are served in accordance with health and safety regulations
• Refill drinks as needed
• Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction
• Provide excellent customer service to all guests
Job Requirements
• Ability to memorize menu items, descriptions, and prices
• Ability to handle multiple orders simultaneously
• Ability to take guests' orders accurately and in a timely fashion
• Ability to recommend menu items
• Ability to upselling menu items
• Ability to handle guest inquiries and complaints professionally
• Ability to operate a cash register
• Ability to work well with fellow servers and kitchen staff
• Ability to properly clean and reset tables
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Standing and Walking: Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours) and walk quickly between tables and kitchen.
• Lifting and Carrying: Must be able to lift and carry trays of food and drink, typically weighing up to 25 pounds or more.
• Bending and Reaching: Capability to bend, stoop, and reach to serve food or retrieve items from various heights.
• Manual Dexterity: Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to handle utensils and serve food without spills.
• Multitasking: Capacity to manage multiple tables and tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
• Stamina: Physical stamina to handle busy shifts, including peak mealtimes.
• Health and Safety: Must adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper hygiene practices.
