Role Description:  

  

QuesTek Innovations LLC, located in Evanston, IL, a leader in the field of Integrated Computational Materials Engineering (ICME), is seeking a dynamic Client Solutions Engineer to join our Commercialization team. Your primary responsibility will be providing both technical and sales support for QuesTek’s cloud-based ICMD® software. You will play a key role in supporting our ICMD® software sales efforts, delivering high-impact software demonstrations, conducting subscriber trainings, developing technical documentation and tutorials, and providing technical assistance to active subscribers. 


You will also contribute to the sales cycle for direct engagements with industry to solve their materials challenges and provide modeling and consultancy services. You will work with both the sales and technical teams to communicate QuesTek’s modeling and consulting services to potential customers, structure engagement scopes, deliver SOWs, and ensure customer satisfaction through proposal and program development.


You will collaborate with our cross-functional teams, including frontend developers, backend developers, computational modelers, project managers and sales directors to provide comprehensive solutions and support. You will be part of an experienced team with a high sense of ownership and shared accountability for the success of business and client satisfaction. This role requires travel to client sites. 


The primary responsibilities and activities of this position will include:


Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the sales and engineering teams to understand client needs and demonstrate how our software can solve specific business challenges
  • Conduct live, in-depth demonstrations of QuesTek’s ICMD® software, both onsite and virtually, to potential clients
  • Travel with the sales team to client locations to provide technical expertise and presentations during sales meetings
  • Provide onboarding training for newly subscribed clients, helping them set up and effectively use the software
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training materials tailored to different technical capabilities and client needs
  • Ensure subscriber satisfaction by managing software ticketing and communicating /implementing solutions from the software development team
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assist in project scoping, estimating timelines, defining technical requirements and writing proposals to support the sales process
  • Work in a fast-paced innovative environment requiring creativity to deliver on challenging project and software deliverables. 
  • Interact directly with industry clients
  • Present at technical conferences 


Requirements

 Minimum Requirements:

  • Degree in an engineering discipline (materials, mechanical, aerospace preferred) or business discipline with relevant technical experience  
  • Experience with technical support for SaaS / software products
  • Client-facing experience in an engineering field 
  • Demonstrated ability to define complex technical concepts, identify applicable solutions, and articulate results to internal and external audiences       
  • Understanding of fundamental thermodynamics, kinetics, and mechanics of materials
  • Familiarity with Integrated Computational Materials Engineering (ICME)
  • Self-driven and demonstrated history of situational leadership
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to act expeditiously and decisively  
  • Effective verbal, written, and presentation skills with proficiency in Microsoft      Office products
