JC Ford is seeking a highly motivated and experienced HR Generalist, whose main focus will be on recruiting, to join

our Human Resources team. This role will be responsible for executing full-cycle recruitment strategies while

supporting general HR functions, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and contributing to workforce planning

initiatives. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree and 5-10 years of relevant experience in recruiting and HR

generalist responsibilities, with a demonstrated ability to attract, engage, and retain top talent. This position requires

flexibility for up to 40% travel to attend career fairs, trade schools, and industry events.

This position is onsite in Columbia, TN, and requires candidates to live within a commutable distance. This is not a

remote role.

Requirements

  

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

· Lead full-cycle recruitment efforts for positions across all levels, including manufacturing, technical, and

corporate roles.

· Develop and implement proactive sourcing strategies, leveraging job boards, social media, industry networks,

and partnerships with trade schools and workforce development programs.

· Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline through networking, direct sourcing, and engaging passive

candidates.

· Partner with department managers to assess workforce needs and create effective job descriptions and

postings.

· Manage and optimize the applicant tracking system (ATS) and HRIS (Paylocity) to streamline hiring processes.

· Represent JC Ford at career fairs, trade schools, and industry events to enhance recruitment outreach.


HR Generalist Responsibilities

· Assist in employee onboarding and orientation to ensure a seamless transition for new hires.

· Support HR compliance efforts, ensuring alignment with federal, state, and local employment laws.

· Maintain accurate employee records and documentation in accordance with company policies and legal

requirements.

· Contribute to employee engagement initiatives, workforce planning, and retention strategies.

· Provide HR support and guidance to employees and managers regarding policies, benefits, and career

development.

Qualifications, Experience, and Work Environment:

Education

 

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required.


Experience & Skills

· 5-10 years of experience in recruiting and HR generalist functions within a manufacturing or industrial setting.

· Proven ability to execute full-cycle recruiting, from sourcing to onboarding, across multiple job levels.

· Strong knowledge of HR compliance, employment laws, and best practices in recruitment and workforce

planning.

· Experience with HRIS and applicant tracking systems (preferably Paylocity).

· Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage with

candidates and internal stakeholders.

· High level of organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced

environment.

· Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus but not required.

 

 

Physical Requirements:

· 40% of the role requires active field recruiting at hiring events, trade schools, and other external sourcing

opportunities.

· Onsite office environment with occasional visits to the production floor (PPE required: safety glasses, steel-

toe shoes).

· Minimal lifting (up to 45 lbs.).
