Description

As part of a three person supervision team, this position involves working alongside the Chief Facilities & Property Officer and Maintenance Supervisor. 


The Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the organization's building maintenance and staff. This role includes supervising facilities staff, as well as assisting with construction projects. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational, leadership and communication skills to manage diverse operations effectively.  This position plays a critical role in maintaining a safe, functional and well-organized environment.

Requirements
  • Facilities Maintenance:
    • Supervise facility maintenance staff and ensure safety inspections
    • Assist with snow removal, coordinate with vendors and internal departments, assist with special events set up and facility utility systems operation
  • Staff Supervision, Hiring and Training:
    • Supervise staff responsible for facilities maintenance
    • Assist with hiring and staff training for maintenance related roles
    • Construction and Projects:
    • Assist in developing and managing construction projects, including supervision, obtaining bids and project management from inception to completion
  • Budgeting and Strategic Planning:
    • Assist with the development and tracking the annual maintenance budget
    • Assist with implementing a deferred maintenance plan
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Conduct regular safety inspections of systems (sprinklers, kitchen hoods, etc.)
    • Organize monthly safety meetings with team members and ensure compliance with health and safety standards
  • Records Management and Reporting:
    • Maintain and organize digital records, including payroll, vehicle maintenance, guest feedback and other relevant documentation ensuring timely submission
    • Assist with the development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and manuals
  • Purchasing and Inventory:
    • Oversee inventory management and ensure security and accuracy of supplies
    • Track invoices and ensure proper payment processing in a timely manner

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Strong computer skills
  • Proven experience in facilities management, maintenance, construction project development or related fields
  • Excellent communication, organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Successful working under pressure and safety-minded in decision-making 
  • Available to work evenings, weekends and holidays when needed 
  • Possess a valid US Driver’s License and be able to pass internal FV driver training 

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds 
  • Requires physical labor, including outdoor activities in various weather conditions.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust 
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate

SALARY: $65,000.00 to $70,000.00 annually plus generous benefits package
