Manufacturing Engineer – Paid Co-Op/Internship
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer Co-Op/Intern to join our team. This paid opportunity is ideal for students looking to gain hands-on experience in manufacturing engineering, process optimization, and quality control. Whether as a Co-Op (longer-term, structured work experience) or an Internship (shorter-term placement), this role allows students to apply classroom knowledge to real-world projects while developing technical and professional skills.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in designing, developing, and improving manufacturing processes and systems.
- Support the implementation of quality control measures to ensure product consistency and compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and troubleshoot manufacturing challenges.
- Help develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions and process flow diagrams.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and cost-reduction strategies.
- Contribute to project management efforts to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Support production staff by providing training and guidance on new processes and equipment.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and systems (coursework or prior experience preferred).
- Familiarity with quality control and process improvement methodologies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CAD software is a plus.
