Summary

Best Bev is seeking a Highly-Motivated Sales Hunter to join our growing Business Development Copackaging Team in the role of Business Development – Beverage Copackaging Sales.

A successful candidate will secure new business and guide clients through our  production and on-boarding process, establishing a genuine partnership for copackaging success as brands continue to grow and scale. 

In this customer-facing role, the successful candidate will continue to expand Best Bev’s customers and footprint focused on copackaging sales – and the ideal candidate is confident and outgoing with clients, proficient in all forms of written and verbal communication, and welcomes every opportunity for a face-to-face meeting with emerging entrepreneurs and seasoned executives. The candidate is able to lead a conversation and inspire client trust in the beverage industry. 

Prior sales experience and connections in the beverage industry are required for this role. The candidate should possess a willingness to learn and ability to retain knowledge gained from extensive training offered about the Company’s products and services, as well as broader technical beverage industry information.

Once onboarded, the candidate will join Best Bev’s Business Development team as Remote sales position, and the company will also extend the opportunity for any employee that is looking to relocate to join Best Bev on-site in Waverly, NY. 

Hours expectations are for a candidate to be active in beverage business sales calls Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm Eastern, with occasional evening and weekend meetings for conferences, events, and a hospitality-driven flexibility for customers that may be located in variant time-zones.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead generation and follow-up via daily outbound calling and e-mail
  • Market and sell Best Bev’s services including Copackaging, Ingredients, Packaging & additional services 
  • Customer on-boarding to assist successful planning for copackaging production
  • Cold-calls, video-calls and multi-channel outreach to potential beverage clients
  • Maintain databases (CRM, Google, Netsuite and any applicable forms/databases) including customer contact details, lead generation list, onboarding checklist
  • Actively engage with Copackaging Sales Manager, Vice President, Growth, and multiple departments at Best Bev for client onboarding and client success 
  • Collaboration: to successfully close new clients you will need to quickly learn our manufacturing processes, which will require heavy collaboration with all departments in the company. Each new client brings special requirements for which you will be responsible for reviewing & securing buy-in from across the company.

Requirements

Qualifications / Experience:

  • Prior sales experience and connections in the beverage industry are required for this role, and candidates without beverage industry experience will not be considered. 
  • At least three years of experience in sales within a beverage business-to-beverage business industry, with experience in beverage manufacturing a strong bonus.
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred); associate’s degree or at least an equivalent of industry experience, specifically in the beverage industry is required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft and/or Google Suite products

Salary Description
