Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:30 am – 5pm / 37.5 hours per week / Occasional weekends and evenings as needed

Summary:  

The Director of School Leadership will be responsible for cultivating impact on campuses and supporting campus administrators in efforts to ensure all campuses are in compliance with TCCB-ED requirements and all compliance related issues and effective decision making through continuous improvement. In addition, the Director of School Leadership will be responsible for promoting a culture of academic excellence through significant contributions made to increase student achievement across schools.


Position Responsibilities:

  • *Work collaboratively with the Associate Superintendent of Academics to promote a unified culture of mission and vision in our Catholic schools.
  • *Coach, mentor and support administrators to maximize instructional leadership on campus and enhance student achievement.
  • *Provide oversight with the accreditation cycle including the self-study process, annual reports and deficiency plans to meet required deadlines from the Texas Catholic Conference of Bishops Education Department.
  • *Facilitate and lead the NWEA MAP Growth testing to include professional development to ensure fidelity and impact on student learning.
  • *Analyze and assess campus data to assist in data-driven decision making in collaboration with campus leaders to include curricular programming.
  • *Support school leaders in the implementation of the strategic plan and/or strategic planning.
  • *Lead efforts for all school handbooks and policy to ensure compliance with all regulations and guidelines set forth.
  • *Facilitate the cyclical review of the evaluation system for teachers and other instructional roles to include the walkthrough and evaluation forms to ensure compliance and provide guidance on professional growth opportunities needed.
  • *Develop and maintain school visits on a regular basis. 
  • *Plan and lead researched-based quality professional development for campus staff that is relevant to their job assignment. 
  • *Provide support for effective management of staffing, data and school culture for all campus leaders.
  •  Provide oversight for Convocation and the Leadership Awards Ceremony including application process deadlines and yearly   cycle.
  • Lead, monitor and facilitate the yearly process for creating/approving school calendars.
  • Work with administration to ensure the safe and secure school protocols and guidelines are being met.
  • Assist school leadership with appropriate technology support, plans and resources.
  • Collaborate with campus leaders on building and maintaining the master schedule to ensure schedules are conducive to guidelines and requirements for Catholic schools.
  • Assist in monitoring and providing guidance for enrichment activities on campuses. 
  • Serve as Interim Principal when needed.

  • Adhering to safety training and protocols daily and taking precautionary measures to ensure the safety and well-being of self and others. 
  • Responsible for protecting the confidentiality of any information or material obtained in the service with the organization to include but not limited to client names and information, services rendered to clients, donors names and gifts, internal and external investigations or results of any investigations, and financial information.
  • Adherence to the Code of Conduct and the Faith and Moral Policy is mandatory.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications: 


Education 

  • Master's degree in education or related field.

Experience 

  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience as a principal.
  • Minimum of three (3) years as a classroom teacher.
  • Experience in leadership and coaching.
  • Catholic school experience preferred.

License and Credentials 

  • Teacher Certification required
  • Principal Certification required
  • Reliable transportation
  • Valid driver license
  • Valid vehicle insurance
  • Instructional Coaching Certification preferred 

Minimum Knowledge and Skills: 

  • Must be able to build and maintain professional working relationships with all levels
  • Knowledge of current standards in K-12th
  • Proven ability to be an effective leadership coach
  • Strong skills in data analysis
  • Must be detail oriented, organized, self-motivated, work well independently and on a team
  • Maintain an appropriate level of technology competence to meet the current and future needs of students
  • Must have good written and verbal skills
  • Must have good critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Travel Requirements:

Travel requirements for the position includes up to 50% local and 0% overnight.
