Come join our team and win together! We are looking for a Lead  Production Operator to assist the Production Supervisor to meet  production goals and ensure that machines are properly operational. They  will assist in all production areas as needed.

Short Term

Day Shift: 6 AM to 6:30 PM Monday through Thursday, $1.50 Shift Differential.

Night Shift: 6 PM to 6:30 PM Monday through Thursday, $4.00 Shift Differential

Long Term

1st Shift: 6 AM to 2:30 PM Monday through Friday

2nd Shift: 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM Monday through Friday, $1.00 Shift Differential

3rd Shift: 10 PM to 6:30 AM Monday through Friday, $2.50 Shift Differential

Your Day to Day

  • Proceed to prepare the necessary boxes and quantity for your workstation.
  • Ensure, to have all the materials and tools necessary for the performance of its functions.
  • Receive instructions from the Operator who is delivering the machines, to continue with the production.
  • Complies with the instructions given by quality control staff regarding the handling of the product.
  • Properly place and accommodate the finished products on pallets.
  • Provides  support in the collation of labels to the finished boxes, making sure  that the information corresponds to the work order.
  • Inform Quality Control staff and Supervisor about any situation or damage to the products.
  • Report  promptly about any event/emergency related to equipment (abrupt stops,  alarms, unusual sounds, water, and oil leaks, etc). Use the stop button  in case of an emergency.
  • Provide support for training new Operators.
  • During shift change, leaving your work area clean and tidy.
  • Participate in weekly shift Supervisor meetings and monthly safety meetings.
  • Participate  in daily meetings for shift delivery. Clearly reporting various  situations and providing support to ensure continuity of activities.
  • Print  daily work schedule to check what work orders will be executed, what  color changes and tools there will be. Give a copy of this to the  Material Handler and Pallet Wrapper.
  • Print work orders and make calculations based on quantities, as well as distribution by pallets.
  • Organize  daily and based on rotation, all the Operators in the machines.  Organize rest times (break, lunch) for all staff under their charge.  Give the floor staff a copy of the daily schedule.
  • Organize staff rotation in special situations (low production, medical leave, absences, etc.).
  • Supervise that each Operator is performing the job correctly.
  • Give and / or coordinate training for new employees under their charge.
  • Fill out training form for the personnel under your responsibility.
  • Coordinate with the maintenance staff the changes to tools and materials that will be needed at the machines during the shift
  • Print the work orders that will run through each machine. Previously verifying that all material are available.
  • Report and/or request promptly to the inventory area, about any need for raw materials, packing, and suppliers in general.
  • Provide staff with work tools to carry out their functions. Guarantee the availability of these.
  • Receives  the Mixer Color Change Log and Daily Mixer Log forms and submits them  to Production Management along with the finalized work orders and daily  schedule.
  • Sign labels of finished pallets, previously verifying the quantity and presentation of the pallet.
  • Supervises and supports the Material Handler in organizing the schedule for color changes.
  • Monitor that the Quality Control area is executing its work correctly. Provide support in the different situations that arise.
  • Report any failure, damage, or need for replacement of work tools in general. Sending an email to the corresponding area.
  • Organize the daily cleaning of the shift. Ensuring that there is availability of products and tools necessary for this activity.
  • Report  on shift production in the IQMS system. Verifying that the completed  work orders are duly signed by the corresponding parties.
  • Record in the IQMS system, the downtimes that correspond to the production area.
  • Complete in Excel, the report of the purge material generated during the shift.
  • Coordinate  the replacements of rejected pallets, cardboard machines, and material  Gaylords that have been completed during your shift.
  • Enforce the use of PPE Personal Protective Equipment. Ensure staff have the necessary implements available.
  • Participate and coordinate with the staff, to attend the different safety talks.
  • Attend the monthly meetings of the Production Management.
  • Provide support regarding the different internal or external audits that are carried out.
  • Comply with the different standards and internal processes of the company.
Requirements
