Pallet Wrapper
Description

   

We are looking for a Pallet Wrapper to assist the Molding  Supervisor to meet production goals and ensure that pallets are properly  prepared. They will assist in all production areas as needed.

Forklift certification required-willing to train an experienced manufacturing operator

Short Term

Day Shift: 6 AM to 6:30 AM Monday through Thursday, $1.50 Shift Differential

Night Shift: 6 PM to 6:30 AM Monday through Thursday, $4.00 shift differential

Long Term

2nd Shift: 2 PM to 10:30 AM Monday through Friday, $1.00 shift differential

3rd Shift: 10 PM to 6:30 AM Monday through Friday, $2.50 shift differential

Your Day to Day

  • Receive  shift work schedule and meets with the Pallet Wrapper of the previous  shift. Support the previous shift in pending activities and give  continuity. Participate in daily meetings to prepare oncoming shift.
  • Ensure that each machine is equipped with the necessary materials (boxes, layers, pallets, etc)
  • Check which and what types or orders are running on each machine, as indicated by the schedule.
  • Print the necessary labels and place them on each machine for use.
  • Verify that the pallets and boxes being used are correct and in perfect condition.
  • Before  removing the completed pallets from the machine, make sure that the  labels placed on the boxes and pallets correspond to what is indicated  on the work order.
  • Sign the work order as proof of the removal of the pallet from the machine.
  • Print labels with the total quantity of the finished pallet and give it to the Supervisor for signature.
  • Wrap the finished pallet with stretch film, supported with the corresponding tool or manually, if applicable.
  • Move the finished pallet to the corresponding warehouse.
  • Keep the supply of boxes and other necessary materials in each machine.
  • Remove all materials from the machines when the order is finished and place them in the appropriate area.
  • Use forklift taking safety measures learned during training.
  • Provides support on the machines during the rest times of the Operators.
  • Report on time, any situation related to the equipment and work tool
  • Provide support for training new Pallet Wrappers.
  • Proper use of PPE implements supplied by the company.
  • Must comply with the company's rules, policies, and security measures.
  • Participate in weekly shift meetings with the Supervisor and monthly safety meetings.

Requirements

 What We Would Love About You

  • HS Diploma, GED or work experience preferred.
  • 1 year injection molding experience
  • Forklift certification required.
  • Read, write and communicate in English. Bilingual Spanish preferred
  • Basic math skills helpful.
