Description
Position Overview:
This Controls Engineer position is responsible for designing, developing, installing, managing and/or maintaining equipment which is used to monitor and control engineering systems, machinery, and processes.
Requirements
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Actively researches latest automation developments as part of company continuous improvement
- Liaise with customer Process to identify and implement control system improvements
- Program and troubleshoot PLCs, variable speed drives, and instrumentation
- Collaborate with Engineers and Venders on new equipment construction and installation

- Ability to motivate, lead and coach others
- Ability to communicate effectively across various departments
- Ability to plan and work in a proactive manner
- Ability to work in a hands-on, industrial manufacturing environment
- Ability to take work-related calls after hours when necessary
- Ability to work additional hours at the customer site if/when emergencies occur
- Computer skills in MS Windows environment; proficient in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Time management and organizational skills
- Active listening skills
