ARG Industrial is seeking a full-time Rigging Production Specialist for our Fairbanks, AK location. We are looking for a self-starter who works well with others in an energetic team environment, has the ability to take charge, and possesses a willingness to learn. The candidate must be dependable, possess a strong attention to detail and demonstrate a commitment to safety, accuracy, and quality in their work.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Embody the ARG Industrial Core Values of authenticity, taking ownership, being helpful and collaborative, having a desire to elevate and evolve, and exhibiting grit.
  • Develop and design rigging products, including slings, chains, hooks, shackles, and custom rigging solutions, adhering to industry standards, customer specifications, and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with the production team to provide technical expertise during the manufacturing process, ensuring accurate construction and assembly of rigging products.
  • Perform rigorous inspections and testing of rigging products at various stages of production, verifying compliance with company standards and safety regulations.
  • Ensure that all rigging products meet or exceed safety requirements, taking into account factors such as load capacity, weight distribution, and environmental conditions.
  • Monitor raw materials and finished product inventory levels, ensuring adequate stock to fulfill customer orders and production demands.
  • Proficiently engage in frequent wire rope handling, including effective pulling techniques.
  • Assist customers and internal teams in identifying appropriate rigging solutions for specific applications or unique lifting challenges.
  • Maintain accurate records of design specifications, manufacturing processes, inspection reports, and other relevant documentation to track product history and comply with industry certifications.
  • Oversee the maintenance and calibration of manufacturing equipment used in the rigging production process, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize production workflows.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops for employees on rigging best practices, safety guidelines, and product knowledge.
  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Please note: Due to the highly specialized nature of the work performed by the Rigging staff, most of the training will be taught on the job. 


Successful candidate will possess: 

  • High school diploma, or equivalent; technical or vocational education in rigging, mechanical engineering, or related field is a plus.
  • Ability to pass drug test screenings throughout employment.
  • Ability to work in physically demanding conditions.  Must be able to stand, walk, bend, lift and carry 50-100lbs on a regular basis, and perform repetitive movements throughout the workday.
  • Previous forklift experience is preferred, but not required
  • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering error-free results with a focus on quality and safety.
  • Dependable and punctual commitment to attendance and work schedules.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and performing basic mathematical calculations.
  • Excellent communication skills, strong work ethic, and a team player attitude
