About Us

21st Amendment Brewery is one of San Francisco's original Brewpubs celebrating 25 years in the South of Market (SOMA) neighborhood just two blocks from the San Francisco Giants Oracle Park. We are a casual full-service restaurant serving upscale pub fare in a restored 1920’s warehouse and offer a beer garden during baseball and a private party and event space. We also have an in-house 12 BBL brewery where we make and serve all our own award-winning house brews.

You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the restaurant's operations, including hiring and training staff, managing inventory, ensuring customer satisfaction, handling complaints, maintaining health and safety compliance, and managing the financial health of the establishment, all while providing strong leadership and upholding high standards of quality in food and service. 


Core Duties:

  • Manage daily operations, overseeing the entire front of house operation including working on the floor and leading by example.
  • Recruiting, scheduling, hiring and training all restaurant staff, including ongoing training in food, service and beer. Ongoing staff coaching and correction.
  • Clearly communicate roles, duties, expectations and sequence of service to your team and hold them accountable.
  • Maintain the highest standards of customer service by setting the tone for a positive and welcoming staff and paying attention to the small details of ambience and service. Handle customer complaints.
  • Monitor and work with our finance team to manage the restaurant’s finances, manage budgets, monitor sales, control costs, and review financial reports.
  • Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies, minimizing waste, and ensure proper inventory rotation.  
  • Adhere to all food and alcohol handling safety regulations, maintaining a clean and hygienic restaurant environment, and ensuring staff are properly trained on safety procedures. 
  • Promote the restaurant and work with our marketing team to activate on events and promotions to continue to increase business.
  • Manage all private party and event requests and proactively solicit event business.
  • Integrate with the larger company Leadership team to ensure you are in sync with company culture, plans and vision.


Requirements

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven, recent work experience as a Restaurant Manager, Hospitality Manager or similar role 
  • Customer service experience 
  • Positive and upbeat attitude
  • Extensive food and beverage (F&B) knowledge, with ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform customers and wait staff
  • Familiarity with restaurant POS software, (i.e. Toast, etc.)
  • Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
  • Familiarity with financial management skills
  • BS degree in Business Administration; hospitality management or culinary schooling is a plus; will substitute 2+ years of relevant Managerial Experience for degree.
  • Knowledge and appreciation of craft beer
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is highly preferred

Salary Description
$72,000 - $85,000
