Electrical Engineering Co-Op

McClure Engineering is searching for an Electrical Engineering student to be a part of our 8 month Co-Op Program.

As a part of the Co-Op program here at McClure, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and contribute to cutting-edge projects in the field of Electrical engineering. You will work closely with our team of experienced engineers and designers, learning from their expertise and applying your knowledge to real-world challenges. This Co-Op will provide you with valuable insights into the industry and help you develop essential skills for your future career in electrical engineering.  


Key Responsibilities:

• Solve problems of a complex nature, in both the design and construction phases of the project
• Perform energy and load calculations, airflow and pressure drop calculations, equipment sizing, system design and layout
• Collaborate with mechanical and electrical Drafter/Designers on the production of construction documents (drawings and specifications)
• Research commercially available equipment and selecting equipment appropriate for project/client needs
• Perform field inspections to verify existing site conditions
• Capacity to work independently and exercise sound judgment
• Learn multiple engineering calculations to be implemented on multiple projects

• Provide excellent communication to stakeholders and team members

• Build relationships with industry professionals and fellow Co-Ops through networking events and company activities

Required Qualifications and Credentials:

• Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering

• Successfully Completed Junior year
• Cumulative GPA at 3.3 or above
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on clear documentation and effective user support
• Capable of engaging in physical activities such as climbing, kneeling, crouching and lifting up to 50 lbs


Additional Qualifications
• Previous engineering internship or related experience strongly preferred

• Leadership experience in university activities a plus

• Ability to seek guidance from more experienced Engineers and retain/apply the learnings to future tasks

• Leadership experience in university activities a plus

• Enjoys getting "hands dirty" as well as using intellectual capabilities
