Server/Bartender

Scarlet Oak Tavern is seeking a dynamic, experienced server/bartender. This hybrid role will work both floor and bar shifts, creating a memorable dining experience for our guests wherever they dine. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, knowledge of craft cocktails, wine, and craft beer; as well as possess exceptional customer service skills and a positive attitude. Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of hospitality work history, with at least 3 years bartending experience in a full-service, high-volume restaurant. 

Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests and provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere
  • Take food and drink orders and accurately relay them to the kitchen and bar staff using our POS
  • Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and professional manner
  • Craft cocktails to exacting recipes (including proper technique)
  • Check on guests frequently to ensure their needs are met and they are enjoying their experience.
  • Maintain knowledge of our menu items and beverages in order to make recommendations to your guests
  • Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth and efficient restaurant operations

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of hospitality experience
  • 3 years of bartending experience, with a focus on craft cocktails
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to handle cash and credit card transactions accurately
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time, carry a tray, and lift 30lbs
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
