Description


The Core System Analyst, under minimal supervision, will assist in managing and maintaining the Fiserv DNA core banking system, Q2 online and mobile banking platform, and other core and peripheral systems (core banking systems).  Research and resolve system errors and deficiencies. Keep abreast of core changes and upgrades.  Monitor system stability and performance.  This role is critical to the smooth operation of our banking systems and requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional who can operate both independently and as part of a team. This position requires that the individual work in office, independently, and with minimal supervision.


Ensures compliance within all Bank policies and procedures, as well as all applicable state and federal banking regulations.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Continuously monitor core banking systems to ensure functionality, seamless integrations, and optimal performance, reliability, security, and compliance
  • Improve processes to gain efficiencies by implementing core banking system automation to replace manual processes wherever possible
  • Provide advanced technical support for complex issues, working closely with IT team and vendors to resolve problems efficiently
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of core banking system configurations, procedures, and changes
  • Lead and participate in projects related to core banking system upgrades, enhancements, and integrations
  • Conduct thorough testing of upgrades and new implementations using the Bank’s various test environments
  • Ensure appropriate communication to stakeholders regarding core banking system changes and upgrades
  • Collaborate with business units to analyze business requirements and provide technical assistance to reach requirements
  • Provide technical support to employees and stakeholders
  • Monitor vendor ticketing systems to ensure issues are documented accurately and resolved timely
  • Stay current with emerging technologies
  • Retire and replace systems as needed
  • Conduct system research as needed
  • Write reports for various business units as needed
  • Minimum of 10 hours CRA volunteer hours per year. Volunteer hours are typically scheduled within business hours. This is compensable time and mileage is reimbursed
  • Other duties as assigned  

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibility. 


Qualifications:

  • Experience analyzing API and troubleshooting problems
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3-5 years of analyst experience with core banking systems
  • Experience with project management methodologies and tool
  • Experience with Fiserv DNA core and Q2 digital banking platform preferred
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

The incumbent in the course of performing this position frequently spends time writing, typing, speaking, listening, operating basic business equipment, seeing (such as close, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and adjusted focus), sitting, walking, standing, reading documents or instruments, detailed work, problem solving, client contact, reasoning, math, language, presentations, verbal and written communication, analytical reasoning, stress, multiple concurrent tasks, and frequent interruptions. The incumbent for this position will occasionally lift up to 15 pounds, pull, squat, kneel and reach. The incumbent is in a non-confined office-type setting in which they are free to move about at will. The work environment is typically quiet to a moderate noise level.
