Description

The Quality Assurance (QA) Program Monitor at Los Angeles Air Force Base is responsible for overseeing quality assurance functions in compliance with TO 00-33A-1001 Chapter 2. This role includes performing equipment evaluations to assess the quality of communication, IT, space, and cyber systems maintenance, ensuring that all equipment meets mission requirements.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Serving as the Technical Order Distribution Officer (TODO), managing technical order distribution in accordance with TO 00-5-1.
  • Acting as the Corrosion Prevention and Control Program (CPCP) Manager, implementing CPCP duties as outlined in TO 00-33A-1001 Chapter 6.
  • Functioning as the Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Monitor, ensuring compliance with TO 00-33A-1001 and TO 00-25-234 standards.
  • Reviewing and validating Statements of Work (SOWs) and Performance-Based Work Statements (PWSs) to ensure that cyber processes and requirements are accurately captured.
  • Overseeing Local Work Card (LWC) submissions per TO 00-33A-1001 Chapter 10 as the Local Work Card Validator.
  • Tailoring the 61 CS QA program to meet mission needs, conducting risk assessments, developing and updating AF Form 4437 Risk Assessments, and maintaining QA documentation on the Electronic Information System (EIS).
Requirements
  •  Candidate must possess a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in quality assurance, IT systems evaluations, or equipment maintenance oversight. 
  • A strong understanding of TO 00-33A-1001, TO 00-5-1, and TO 00-25-234 is essential, along with experience in managing QA documentation, risk assessments, and compliance reviews.
  • Familiarity with CPCP, ESD, and technical order distribution processes is required.
  • Candidates should demonstrate the ability to effectively review and validate SOWs, PWSs, and LWCs.
  • The role demands strong attention to detail, risk management expertise, and the ability to conduct quality evaluations across various IT and cyber infrastructure systems.
  • Experience in technical writing, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and government compliance documentation is highly desirable.
  • The candidate must be capable of maintaining QA program records, updating risk assessments annually, and coordinating with government officials for the approval of program modifications.
  •  Clearance: Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance.
