Position Overview
Einstein Charter Schools is seeking a dedicated and experienced Part-Time Physical Therapist to provide high-quality therapy services to students with physical disabilities and motor challenges. The Physical Therapist will assess, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans to support students' mobility, strength, and functional independence within the school environment.
Reports to the Principal and/or designee
Key Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned. All of the Standards must be complied with, including, but not limited to the following areas.
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess students’ motor skills, mobility, and physical needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve students' functional movement and participation in school activities.
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to integrate therapy goals into students’ educational plans.
- Provide direct therapy services in accordance with students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Monitor progress and adjust interventions as needed to meet students’ goals.
- Educate school staff and families on strategies to support students' physical development.
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and compliance with all school and state regulations.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of students’ education plans.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Education: Master’s or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Licensure: Valid LA Physical Therapy license.
- Experience: Previous experience working with children, preferably in a school setting.
- Skills:
- Strong assessment and intervention skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to adapt therapy techniques to meet diverse student needs.

- Required to use motor coordination with finger dexterity (such as keyboarding, machine operation, etc.) part of the work day;
- Required to exert physical effort in handling objects less than 50 pounds rarely;
- Required to be exposed to physical occupational risks (such as cuts, burns, exposure to toxic chemicals, etc) rarely;
- Required to be exposed to physical environment which involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements rarely;
- Normal setting for this job is a classroom/school setting.

Compensation is commensurate with experience.
