Position Summary

Join our team as a Groundskeeper and play a vital role in ensuring our community's property remains pristine and inviting. Your primary focus will be on maintaining the cleanliness and aesthetic appeal of our grounds, contributing to a pleasant atmosphere for all residents. While your main responsibility is groundskeeping, you'll also have opportunities to assist our maintenance team with light tasks, enhancing your skills and experience.

Responsibilities

• Regularly pick up trash and litter to ensure the property grounds remain pristine and free from unsightly debris.

• Routinely inspect community/shared garbage dumpsters and promptly report any suspicions of illegal dumping or unauthorized materials to property management.

• Perform daily upkeep of common areas, buildings, and property grounds.

• Handle inclement weather care, including snow removal and applying ice melt to sidewalks, steps, driveways, and parking lots.

• Assist in preparing apartments for leasing as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.

• Maintain a professional appearance and provide courteous service at all times.

• Follow company safety standards and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.

• Reliable transportation required.

• Knowledge of basic maintenance and repair skills, including the use of hand tools and necessary equipment.

• Ability to work independently with a willingness to learn.

• Strong customer service skills with effective oral and written communication.

• Ability to read, write, and speak English sufficiently to process and discuss work orders correctly.

• Proficiency in using cleaning and maintenance tools such as mops, brooms, vacuum cleaners, step ladders, snow blowers, and leaf blowers.

• Must be able to stand and walk for long periods (8 hours per day) and perform physical activities, including bending, climbing stairs, lifting, carrying, stooping, gripping, and reaching above shoulders.
