Job Summary


Responsible for assisting the Supply Chain team in the procurement, planning and issuing picking slips to the operations team.


Essential Job Functions

  • Maintenance of part numbers in the ERP system.
  • Monitoring inventory and planning accordingly.
  • Creating and maintaining relationships with suppliers.
  • Negotiating buying terms with vendors, including price, margin, exclusivity, and delivery terms.
  • Working with inventory management team to ensure that all deliveries satisfy the assigned purchase orders and report any back-ordered or missing products.
  • Maintenance of supplier and product performance logs
  • Review of sales order to picking list information
  • Raising purchase orders and working with suppliers from the point of PO right through to goods delivery
  • Supplier liaison including lead time requests and delivery follow up
  • Maintaining an inbound schedule of goods arriving and dealing with any queries from the warehouse teams on receipt
  • Processing order confirmations from suppliers quickly and effectively, liaising with other departments where necessary
  • Resolving issues with suppliers including cross department
  • Communicate lead times and plans with Sales / customer support teams
  • New SKU product master creation, maintenance and administration 
  • Process intercompany and direct delivery shipments
  • Filing of departmental documentation

Qualifications

  • Experience of procurement / planning preferred
  • Computer literate and experienced in the use of Microsoft Excel
  • Experience of SAGE 200 or similar ERP software preferred
  • UK Driving License preferred
