The IT Infrastructure Manager is responsible for overseeing and maintaining the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability of systems, networks, and cloud environments. This role includes managing help desk operations, leading infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with IT policies, and aligning technology strategies with business objectives.


Responsibilities:


Infrastructure & Systems Management:

  • Oversee the administration, configuration, maintenance, and monitoring of Windows servers (both virtual and physical).
  • Manage and optimize cloud environments, including Microsoft Azure and hybrid infrastructures.
  • Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning for IT infrastructure.
  • Implement and maintain security best practices, including patch management, vulnerability assessments, and endpoint protection.
  • Manage user application security access, including Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) and other critical enterprise applications.
  • Monitor and maintain network performance, including LAN, WAN, firewalls, and VPNs.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Help Desk & End-User Support:

  • Manage Help Desk operations, ensuring timely resolution of issues and meeting service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Oversee IT support staff, making task assignments and prioritizing escalations.
  • Develop end-user documentation, technical guidelines, and training resources to enhance user productivity.

Project Management & Strategic Planning:

  • Plan and execute IT infrastructure projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and integrations.
  • Research and recommend emerging technologies to improve efficiency and align with business goals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to drive IT initiatives and infrastructure improvements.

Compliance & Security:

  • Ensure compliance with IT security policies, industry regulations, and best practices.
  • Implement and manage identity and access management (IAM) policies and protocols.
  • Conduct risk assessments and recommend proactive security measures.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure, system administration, or related roles.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and Hyper-V environments.
  • Experience managing cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure or AWS).
  • Solid understanding of networking protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and security best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex IT issues.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience managing IT support teams and Help Desk operations.
  • Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, CompTIA Network+, ITIL, or similar are a plus.
  • Ability to lift and transport IT equipment (up to 50 lbs.).
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for site visits and infrastructure projects.
  • Ability to work outside standard business hours when required for system maintenance and emergency response.
